Editorial & AI Policy

Balita News articles are drafted with AI assistance from cited news sources and reviewed by human editors before publication. We correct errors promptly — email editor@balitanews.ph.

How our stories are made

Balita News uses an AI-assisted, human-reviewed workflow. Drafts are generated with AI assistance from established, cited news reporting, and every draft passes through human editors before publication. Editors check the summary against the underlying sources for accuracy, tone, and fairness. Nothing publishes automatically.

Sources are always credited

Because we curate and rewrite rather than report from the field, attribution is central to what we do. Every article credits the sources it draws on, with links back to the original reporting wherever possible. If a claim cannot be traced to a source we trust, it does not run.

No fabrication

We do not invent quotes, statistics, events, people, or attributions. AI assistance is used to summarize and clarify existing reporting — never to manufacture facts. Where the reporting is uncertain or contested, we say so plainly rather than resolve it ourselves.

Corrections

We correct errors promptly and transparently. When an article is substantively updated or corrected after publication, we note the change. If you believe something we published is inaccurate, email editor@balitanews.ph with the article link and the specific detail in question, and an editor will review it.
